7. Brief description of activities within the project:

Justification of the project:
In our institution, specialists provide assistance to residents in adapting to new conditions, since a change of place of residence or familiar environment sometimes has a negative impact on the psycho-emotional and sometimes physical condition of an elderly person or a person with a disability. The work also takes into account the fact that older people experience cognitive, physiological and mental changes as a consequence of age-related changes.

Comprehensive work is carried out with residents in this direction, aimed at awakening in them the desire to live, normalizing their emotional state, teaching them how to overcome stress, and strengthening cognitive functions. For this purpose, various methods are used to relieve stress: a favorable environment, relaxation and breathing exercises, music therapy and others.

The use of new methods of work — touch therapy and halotherapy — will improve the work of relieving psycho-emotional stress, eliminating aggressiveness and creating a positive internal psychological background in older people and people with disabilities. Conducting practical classes will be aimed at relaxing, calming, and filling older people with energy. These methods are extremely versatile and can positively influence the condition of an elderly person, whatever their characteristics.
As a result, residents will be able to feel psychological comfort, tune in to positive perception and communication with the people around them.

Planned activities within the project:
• familiarization with the equipment sales market to equip a room for psychological relief and relaxation; purchase of equipment.

• creation of premises, including the following equipment:

medical physiotherapy couch (provides patient comfort during physiotherapeutic procedures);

sensory path for the feet (walking along the massage path is useful for the development of tactile perception and coordination. The massage mat relaxes the muscles of the feet, kneads the rough skin of the feet — prevents the formation of corns and calcifications.
You can not only walk on the mat, you can also lie on your back, and a large area of the muscles of the upper shoulder girdle, back, buttocks and thighs will be massaged);

massage chair (hardware massage is used to prevent diseases of the cardiovascular, nervous and musculoskeletal systems. It improves the flow of blood and lymph to tissues, relieves spasms, eliminates cramps, corrects posture. It is also used to eliminate functional muscle pain, providing more healthy functioning of internal organs, prevention of salt deposits. A massage chair is especially recommended for osteochondrosis. Directed impact will allow you to work on specific areas with great efficiency. A properly selected massage regimen can also contribute to the rehabilitation of people with disabilities);

Relax Salt salt capsule (during a halotherapy session, a person breathes air saturated with salt particles. Halotherapy effectively treats bronchial asthma, rhinitis and skin diseases, and has a beneficial effect on the general psychological state.
Individual halotherapy is a type of halotherapy that provides the opportunity for individual immersion in the healing and relaxing atmosphere of a natural salt cave. The procedure takes place in a “halocapsule”, where the healing microclimate of natural speleological clinics is recreated using a generator and thanks to a special system for controlling the salt aerosol inside the space).

The implementation of this project is aimed at using the psychological relief and relaxation room as an innovative model for developing self-regulation skills, maintaining and strengthening psychophysical health, relieving tension, anxiety, aggressiveness and creating a positive emotional state.
